At 3rdReef Store, customers can choose from a variety of waterproof canvas colors and they can choose to personalize the front pocket of their bag by adding their name/initials, boat name, company logos, or pick from a variety of graphics. OUR PROCESS
I carefully clean all sails before I begin the process of designing my bags and totes. I try to preserve as many of the individual attributes of the sails including original stitching, grommets, and insignias. Most of the sails I receive show signs of hard sailing making each bag unique. I try to use as much recycled material as possible including many of the ropes, webbing, and insulative materials.
My bags are designed and sewn in my house that overlooks Greens Creek in beautiful Pamlico County, NC

Our Values
At 3rdReef Store, I try to be environmentally conscious by utilizing as much recycled material as possible. While all of the sailcloth is reclaimed, so is the insulative lining and some of the webbing.
3rdReef, is passionate about sailing and preserving our environment. I live in the sailing capital of North Carolina and am surrounded by those who have a love for the land and the water. However, after Hurricane Florence, i began to wonder what happens to all the destroyed or abandoned boats but more importantly, what happens to all the sails. I spoke to several sailors and a few sail repair shops and found out that most unwanted sails end up in landfills or pollute our waterways. This is how the 3rdReef Store began. I transform those old, unwanted sails into custom bags and totes in hope that I can do my small part to protect our beautiful corner of the world.
