Customizable
At 3rdReef, customers can choose from a variety of waterproof canvas colors and can personalize the front pocket of their sail bags. Add a name/initials, boat name, company logos, or pick from a variety of graphics. Contact me at 3rdreefstore@gmail.com to make a customized unique bag.
OUR PROCESS
We carefully clean all sails before begining the design process of all bags, totes, and accessories. At 3rdReef we try our best to preserve as many of the individual attributes of the sails. This includes the original stitching, grommets, and insignias. Due to the natural wear on the sails from their previous life, each piece created is one-of-a-kind and has its own story.

Our Values
3rdReef strives to be environmentally conscious by utilizing as much recycled material as possible. All of the sailcloth is reclaimed, as well as the insulative lining and some of the webbing.
After Hurricane Florence, we began to wonder what happens to all the destroyed or abandoned boats. More importantly, what happens to all the sails.? After speaking with several sailors and a few sail repair shops we learned that most unwanted sails end up in landfills or pollute our waterways. This is how the 3rdReef began! We transform those old, unwanted sails into custom bags and totes in the hope that we can do our small part to protect our beautiful corner of the world. 3rdReef, is passionate about sailing, the sailing community, and preserving our environment. We were founded in and operate out of the sailing capital of North Carolina and are surrounded by those who have a love for the land and the water.
